The right food helps our body recover faster. Include the below mentioned foods and drinks in your diet:

1.Water & Other Fluids

It is a important to stay hydrated during  jaundice. Water & fluids are highly essential to flush out excess bilirubin,. We recommend diet individuals  with the illness should try to drink a at least 4  liters of water daily . Other fluids such as  buttermilk, dal water, clear juices,  coconut water, and chicken broths also assist the body.

2. Herbal Tea & Coffee

Coffee, when consumed in restricted  quantity, is recognized to lower the  liver cirrhosis and assists us recuperate. The level of enzymes that are harmful to the liver can also be controlled through the intake of coffee or  tea .

3. Protein-rich Food

6. Carbohydrates with Low Glycaemic Index GI

Carbohydrates with  a low GI are important in providing  energy to our body.

7. Fruits

Citrus fruits comprises of  electrolytes that keep our  body charged. They are also high in water which is essential for our  body during the process of recovery. Fruits such as , berries, papaya, avocado, melons, & grapefruit are favorable to a person suffering from jaundice because of their rich enzymes, micro-nutrients & cellular regeneration capabilities.
