Dr. Ankur Garg

Dr. Ankur Garg is one of India’s most experienced HPB and Liver Transplant surgeons, with an MCh in HPB Surgery & Liver Transplant from the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi. He has been recognized nationally for his achievements and was honored by the former President of India, Late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

He completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Aurangabad (2002) and MS in General Surgery from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Mumbai (2007). During his residency, he was awarded the Best Resident in General Surgery (2004) and Best Trauma Resident in Surgery (2005) by the University of Mumbai.

With over 25 years of medical experience and more than 2,500 successful liver transplants, Dr. Garg is among the country’s most trusted liver transplant surgeons. From 2008 to 2013, he worked at ILBS, New Delhi, gaining expertise in managing complex liver and biliary conditions. In 2013, he earned the Fellowship of the European Board of Surgery (FEBS), Vienna, Austria.

In the corporate healthcare sector, Dr. Garg has successfully led and established liver transplant programs at ILBS New Delhi, BLK Super Specialty Hospital New Delhi, and Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital Mumbai. Known for his surgical precision and patient-first approach, he continues to set benchmarks in liver transplantation and HPB surgery in India.
